Welcome to Schenectady’s Stockade Neighborhood…New York State’s first Historic District

 We hope you will visit us and tour our unique  collection of 17th, 18th, 19th and early 20th century homes, businesses and churches. You can download an audiotour map  or join us for the annual Walkabout in September, which provides the opportunity to see the Stockade’s historic architecture both inside and out. New York State’s first Historic District invites all to visit this unique urban neighborhood featuring more than 40 pre-Revolutionary houses and architectural styles that include Dutch Colonial, Georgian, Federal and Victorian. September also features the annual Stockade Villagers Art Show creating a pedestrian gallery up and down  our”village’s” streets.
