All neighbors invited to Stockade Neighborhood Association meeting.
Tired of tripping on our broken sidewalks? Wish our trees were in better shape? Worry about all the speeders on Front, Union and elsewhere? Many of your neighbors are concerned about the same thing! The Stockade Association has decided the best way to tackle these continuing problems is to create a comprehensive streetscape plan.
Involvement of Association members and neighbors is essential to the success of this Comprehensive Streetscape Plan. Through this process the neighborhood will have an opportunity to establish a consensus of what residents want for the public spaces in the Stockade.
At the May 2017 General Meeting, association members voted to seek funds for completion of a comprehensive streetscape plan. The members also voted $10,000 of Stockade Association funds towards such a plan. It has raised $42,000 in grants from the Schenectady Foundation, the Wright Family Foundation and Golub Foundation. The Streetscape Committee, the Association Board and Planning4Places, the selected consultant team, will be seeking your opinions! Planning4Places will be introducing themselves and upcoming plans at September 20, General meeting.
Business meeting will include presentation of approved Budget for year beginning October 1. This is a good time to join or renew your membership.
