Stockade Board Nominees for 2019-2021 The following slate will be presented at the May 16 general membership meeting. Nominations from the floor are welcomed The nominating committee of Dianne Crozier, Beverly Elander and Claire Morgan, is pleased to announce the nominees to fill open Board positions. They are:President: Suzanne Unger A rare quality among us, Suzy has grown up in the Stockade. Suzy has served on the Board as recording secretary for three years. She is also heading up the ambitious Streetscape Study with a completed plan due in mid-May. You may find Suzy fully engaged in the neighborhood in other ways, from choir at St. George;s to the Garden Tour and the Beautification Committee. She and her husband, Rich, moved to the Stockade several years ago from Florida.
Treasurer: Susan DuFourSusan has lived in the Stockade for five years. She has an MS in Accounting from Syracuse University and her last two positions were at State Education as Project Director and Auditor. Prior to raising three daughters, she was a Cooperative Extension Agent. Her current interests include service on the Stockade Board, volunteering for Retree Schenectady, traveling and home improvements to her Stockade homes.
Recording Secretary: Donna M. DollDonna, a Troy, NY native, returned to the area in 2016 with her husband Marc Viglione and purchased a home in the Riverside Condominiums. Donna and Marc became involved in the neighborhood quickly, joining the Schenectady Historical Society and Donna joined the Board at Riverside. Prior to moving to Schenectady, Donna and Marc lived in Todos Santos, BCS Mexico for thirteen years where Donna was a board member and program director for eleven years of The Palapa Society, a Mexican non-profit community organization.
Director: Lyn GordonLyn has lived in the Stockade for twenty years and has belonged to the Stockade Association for most of that time, serving as chair of many Stockade Walkabouts, treasurer, vice president and president. She is currently active in committee work, supportive of the Association and generally involved in helping to build our neighborhood.
Director: Jasmine RobertsJasmine is a recent resident of the Stockade, although she is a native of this area. She is currently working in the restaurant industry and has an Associate Degree inApplied Science from HVCC , a Bachelor of Science from College of St. Rose and an Associate Degree from SCCC. Jasmine responded to our candidate outreach in the Spy and is eager to add a fresh voice and be involved in this exciting time of change in the Stockade.
Director: Keith DayerKeith is a current member of the Board and heads the Infrastructure Committee which has been instrumental in initiating the Streetscape Study. Keith has kindly offered his expertise for another term.
Director: Doug ChiltonDoug is a current member of the Board and a familiar presence in the Stockade, assuring that our neighborhood is litter-free. He initiated a clean-up day last year and will be heading up another one on Earth Day in mid-April. Happily, he has agreed to serve for another term.
